About Us

Owner, John Carson started Escape Rentals and Tours LLC. in 2006 to share his love of snowmobiling with others. The company is based in the Ithaca, New York area. Escape Rentals & Tours, LLC. began by renting snowmobiles to riders whom knew how to ride and where to go. Soon, we realized that many of our customers would rather have an expert guided snowmobile tour so that they didn’t have to figure out where the trails went and how to get back home!

Your tour guide, John Carson, has over 30 years experience riding snowmobiles. He has ridden extensively in New York State, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Canada. John is the president of the local snowmobile club in the Ithaca area. John plans rides that match the skills and preferences of nearly any group of riders. Even if you are an experienced rider, John can take you to places you have never been before on a snowmobile. Tours usually consist of a ½ day or full day of riding. Escape Rentals and Tours, LLC can provide the snowmobiles or riders can bring their own.

We typically stop during our rides to enjoy remote country cabins, breathtaking views, and other special features along our snowmobile trip. Most rides take breaks for breakfast and/or lunch along the trail at interesting local establishments. If riders like, we often don’t pass up hitting that fresh snow drift along the hedge rows of fields.
